The Gretsch Institute is a new multi-dimensional arts curriculum open to rising 3rd - 8th graders in the greater Savannah, Ga region. Located on the campus of Savannah Country Day School, the Institute's pilot offering for 2008 will be three, one week sessions June 9-13; June 16-20 and June 23-27. Students have an opportunity to study with talented artists, musicians, and instructors as they craft their own individual "arts curriculum", picking their individual classes from a wide variety of arts workshops offered during full and half day camps. Additionally participants will enjoy structured group activities, breakfast/lunch, breaks and daily concerts by guest artists from The Charleston Symphony, The Savannah Orchestra, Benedetto Guitars and others.

Following the June curriculum for 3rd through 8th graders, the Institute will be hosting a two week orchestra and band camp July 14 - 25 which will pair area youth with performers from various regional orchestras including The Charleston Symphony, The Savannah Sinfonietta, The Augusta Symphony and others.
