About the Speaker: Robert (Bob) G. Davis, President of EMCI, a management consulting firm which he founded, that assists small to medium sized companies in capital formation, forecasting and planning, cash management and formulating and achieving their strategic objectives. Mr. Davis also teaches management at the graduate and undergraduate level for the University of Phoenix, Savannah campus. He was awarded Academic Excellence in 2007 voted on by the students. Mr. Davis’ education and work experience have developed strong financial and analytical skills exposing him to budgeting, strategic planning, and the capital markets, involved him in people and asset management, and developed his sales and marketing skills. He has participated three times in the start-up of companies as a principal and successfully transitioned one of the ventures from start-up to public trading on NASDAQ. Mr. Davis has a BS Degree in Accounting and an MBA in Finance.
About the Presentation: “Financial Forecasting and Your Business Plan”, Mr. Davis will discuss how to develop business plan projections. Central to the task of preparing a set of projections is the construction of assumptions which form the foundation of the financial model. He Davis will discuss the elements of the financial model which are critical to an effective financial forecast.
