Field Inspector

The purpose of this classification is to perform Field inspections and enforcement for erosion and sedimentation control program. Assist Code Enforcement Officer with other environmental code issues. Also, to act as liaison between County and contract development inspectors; and possibly to assume full inspection responsibilities. Performs related work as
required.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year College or
technical school; or six months to one year........................ related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Current driver’s license, Level 1B Certified Inspector for erosion and
sedimentation control by GSWCC.

Job duties include the following:Technical Requirements: Instill in all Facilities Maintenance and Housekeeping employees that they are there to serve the guest quickly and courteously. Teach by showing. Ensure that Facilities Maintenance and Housekeeping employees keep all areas they are working in neat and clean. Current on all safety and sanitation policies and procedures that impact the property. Implement OSHA and ADA guidelines and programs. Update and maintain Facilities Maintenance and Housekeeping policies, procedures, work orders, etc. Establish relationships with vendors to ensure they provide continual input on new products, systems, etc. Monitor vendors to assure quality, delivery, warranties, exchanges, upgrades, etc. are consistently utilized. Work closely with vendors to ensure proper pricing, delivery, and maintenance. Maintain and refine preventive maintenance program. Strong technical skills in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, etc. Familiar with chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatments, pneumatics, control systems, water systems, boilers, refrigeration, compressors, etc. Strong energy management background. Experience overseeing capital construction projects. Work closely with contractors on repair and capital projects. Make cost evaluations on in-house repairs versus subcontractors.Familiar with CMMS.
