      <title>Web Designer</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;eMarketSouth, a rapidly expanding internet firm in Downtown Savannah,
&lt;br /&gt;is seeking a Web Designer with at least five years experience in website design and two years experience working with XHTML and CSS.  The designer will work on a range of projects, designing attractive, creative and functional sites for clients, as well as working on existing sites to suit client needs.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The candidate should have a good aesthetic design sense and a firm grasp of page design and layout for the web, including user interface, information hierarchy and usability.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Familiarity with common web design tools including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is required.  Familiarity with Flash, Javascript, PHP or Ruby on Rails is a bonus.  Familiarity with MySQL or other common database engines is a bonus.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;br /&gt;Responsibilities:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;1.  Section Design &amp; Production
&lt;br /&gt;    Perform tasks necessary to create or assist in creating Special Sections, Back of Book spreads, Reader Service Page/Card, Card bank templates, Client ads/promotions including:  the coordination of materials gathering with clients, obtaining the necessary approvals, receiving materials, color correcting images and artwork, outputting PS / PDF files,troubleshooting problems and transferring and archiving all files and materials.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;2.  Ad Pre-Press / Production
&lt;br /&gt;    Manage in-house production of all advertising files which includes:  preflighting and proofing all files, preparing PDFs by the appropriate deadlines, trouble-shooting ad files and working closely with the Advertising Services Director.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;3.  Collateral Design
&lt;br /&gt;    Perform tasks necessary to create or assist in creating and updating promo sheets, special sections, special issues, special programs, media kit sheets, rate cards and custom decks/mock-ups.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;4.  Online Design / Production / Coordination
&lt;br /&gt;    Perform special section content updates, track New URLs, Assist with the following as needed; creating / coordinating various aspects of promotions and sweepstakes such as pages, forms, rules and html designs along with all design and delivery aspects relating to client ads, insider email blasts, custom client email blasts, supplied banner ads which includes coordinating and obtaining materials/scripts from clients/agencies, troubleshooting submitted materials, testing and launching.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;5.  Added-value Design / Coordination 
&lt;br /&gt;    Assist as needed in direct mail/brochure design, client reprints, event signage/blow-ups and other misc. programs.
