Coastal Georgia Regional Development Center (CGRDC) in Brunswick, GA is seeking a Information Technology Hardware Technician. CGRDC is a multi-county planning and development agency serving 10 counties and 35 cities. http://www.coastalgeorgiardc.org

Education and experience requirements:
• 2+ years job-related experience
• Relevant college degree or equivalent work experience

Areas of responsibility:
• Analyzes current computer and network systems technology and available ven...............dor offerings to recommend optimum computer and network solutions
• Assist with telecommunications and perform basic telephone maintenance as required
• Contribute and maintain a library of technical documentation
• Participate in helpdesk support and updating of helpdesk database
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, software, and other devices as required
• Work with cross-functional teams in the design and implementation of information technology
• Assist in the training of personnel to improve their technical skills
• Willingness to travel between offices occasionally
• Occasional nights and/or weekends if required by a project or emergency
• Perform other related duties as required

Technical Skills:
Windows XP
Windows Vista
Microsoft Office 2007

The responsibilities include the support for the operation of all network printers, computers, telephones, etc. Environment includes all hardware and any related software, software upgrades, and maintenance, support of all related production procedures, security access, disaster recovery and support of IT Network applications. This is a hands on position requiring computer repair skills, as well as network support skills to ensure the network is running as efficiently as possible.

The ideal candidate must be self reliant, conduct all duties proactively and report results to management.
Must be self-starter, proactive and able to work independently. Excellent customer service skills required. Salary DOQ.
