Currently, there are 2 openings for students familiar with ArcGIS software, etc. GIS Interns will help operate and maintain the County’s geographic information system (GIS) base maps, parcels, ownership, roads, subdivisions, rights-of-way, zoning, and tax digest correcti........................ons, updates data in GIS database; enters mapping parcel data from deeds, plats, plots, surveys, or other sources into GIS system. Hours worked are between 8:30–5:00, M-F.</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>High school diploma or GED; supplemented by college level course work or vocational training in GIS, cartography, computerized mapping, or a related field; supplemented by one (1) year previous experience and/ or training involving GIS operations, cartography, and computerized mapping; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license. Must have working knowledge of ESRI products including but not limited to ArcGIS 9.2, ArcInfo, ArcView.
