TPS Consulting

Murray Wilson is founder and CEO of tps Consulting LLC, a television broadcast consultancy. He’s like an architect for the broadcast TV industry, making sure everything’s on cue for launch.

He analyzes operations readiness, workflow design and offers project management and training to broadcast systems integrators and television tech providers.

Wilson launched Direct TV in the U.S., Latin America and Japan. He’s done the same for MTV, Nickelodeon and the United States Air Force on our home terrain.

Not too bad for a guy with an office tucked in a corner of historic Savannah.

So what gives when he could be working anywhere in the world or in his native England?

‘The quality of lifestyle is what keeps us here.’

‘In the bigger cities, you’re confronted with traffic. Savannah is nice with beautiful architecture and I live ten minutes from work. You don’t have to worry about a 30-minute lunch break. That is priceless.’

Ditto: ‘Savannah is a refuge for corporate refugees,’ says Mark Dlugozima, Director of Development for tps. ’It’s like a little New York. It’s a port city with cultural diversity and the Savannah airport is great. It’s very connected.’

Dlugozima recently moved back to this native city of his. He was living out west for 20 years and left a Fortune 500 job to get out of the rat race.

But he didn’t know what to expect here.

Who knew Wilson would be ‘doing even more cutting-edge stuff here than in Seattle,’ he says.

It can sometimes be tough to find employees in niche business like theirs – but things just got a whole lot easier.

‘The Creative Coast has made our lives a lot more manageable,’ says Dlugozima. ’They’ve helped us a great deal in finding people.’
