Savannah, Georgia – March 21, 2007 – On March 13, 2007 at a meeting of the Savannah Jaycees, cSpot founders, Cari Clark, owner of Clark Creative, a creative communications company with a focus on print, web and design, and Fitz Haile, project manager with The Creative Coast Initiative, were recognized for their contributions to the betterment of Savannah’s young professionals.
Cody Hetzel presented the award, received by Clark on behalf of cSpot, with an inscription that reads, “Outstanding Dedication to Savannah’s Young Leadership.”
Jennifer Dooley of Savannah Jaycees said, “cSpot is an organization that has provided an outlet for the creative minds of our generation here in Savannah enabling people to have a voice. We are proud to honor that.”
Started out of a desire to meet and network with other “creatives” on a more frequent basis, Cari pitched her idea to The Creative Coast and with the help of Fitz Haile, cSpot was launched in March 2006.
“We just wanted a place to meet and network with folks in our industry…I felt like I never got to see these people except at awards banquets and meetings,” said Clark. Haile added, “We didn’t want anything too complicated, just a bunch of creative people in a room with cocktails and business cardspretty low key but great for networking.”
Creative professionals of all backgrounds – advertising, design, marketing, architecture, photography, development (yes developers are creative) and more – are invited to attend the group’s monthly gatherings. For more information visit www.thecspot.org or www.thecreativecoast.org.
