“It is the mission of the Coastal Heritage Society to preserve the cultural and natural heritage of the coastal area and provide a sense of awareness and pride in that heritage through programs of active public involvement.”

Since 1975, the nonprofit Coastal Heritage Society has been making a difference in the effort to preserve our area’s cultural, industrial, military, and archaeological heritage. Today our ranks include hundreds of people just like you. Our members volunteer in various events and programs, from the Blues & BBQ Festival to the annual Shrimp Boil and Auction at Old Fort Jackson. They also participate in lecture series and other cultural programs, and enjoy benefits and events open only to members.
