A new restaurant that combines DOWN HOME SOUTHERN COOKING with the flavor and elegance of fine dining.

Chef Matt Cohen, a fifth generation Savannah native, and Chef Scott Gordon, both graduates of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York offer their interpretations of local family traditions with The New South Café.

The menu offers tasty twists on old favorites: Shrimp and Grits, fried grit cakes with Andouille Sausage and braised collard greens; Ribeye Steak, country fried with mashed sweet potatoes and a carmelized onion and mushroom gravy; or their award winning Crab Cake Burger made with fresh lump crab meat mixed with green onions, mayo, and Japanese bread crumbs served with a chipotle mayonnaise, are among the choices you don’t want to miss.

The New South Café is located at 2601 Skidaway Road, one block North of Victory Drive.
