Bonaventture Books was born in 2000 with the publication of "Behind the Moss Curtain and Other Savannah Stories" by Murray Silver.
Bonaventture Books preserves the folklore, history and customs of Savannah and the Low Country through historical novels, history books, cookbooks, guidebooks, retrospectives and biographies.

Each book is designed individually-- not mass-produced from a template-- and is carefully designed to reflect the driving message of the text. Local artists are selected to illustrate the dust jacket, matching the style of the artist with the mood of the writer. The same care is used in the printing process, the finished product beautifully reproduced. The results are books that readers are proud to own, and giftgivers are proud to bestow.
