Systemic Organizational Sustainability
Trident Sustainability Group takes an integrated, team approach to holistically analyze client operations. This approach helps create a complete picture of the client's organization to help provide the most accurate analysis of the opportunities to improve internal sustainability. An integrated team approach allows for buy-in and support throughout the organization, with a variety of stakeholders providing input and information and earning a sense of participation. Our experience has shown that this approach empowers team members and facilitates the implementation process when new policies/practices are put in place.
After initial conversations to gauge a client's wants and needs, Trident will develop and implement a sustainability audit that will review a host of sustainability indicators, including but not limited to greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, water use, waste generation, and material consumption. Many additional indicators can be analyzed based on client preferences including social indicators based on team member efforts. While more challenging to quantify, such indicators give a more robust picture, as our focus on sustainability is more than environmental -- financial and social must also be taken into consideration.

Comprehensive Green Municipal Solutions
Trident Sustainability Group has extensive experience working with local governments to create and implement sustainability sustainability programs - from municipal greenhouse gas audits to comprehensive plans addressing energy use, water consumption, transit and a range of other sustainability indicators. In fact, we literally wrote the book on local impacts of municipal greenhouse gas emissions and solutions -- the firm's Principal Tommy Linstroth co-authored Local Action: A New Paradigm in Climate Change Policy, published in 2007 which highlights municipal greenhouse gas emissions reductions plans and impacts and provides a blueprint for other communities to follow.
