Encaustic Painting is the 2000+ year old practice of painting with molten pigmented beeswax. Through practice and demonstration, participants will gain a basic understanding of the materials, techniques, tools, history, and set-up of encaustic painting. Participants will create up to four small pieces to bring home. This is a great medium not only for painters, but printmakers, potters, sculptors, fiber artists, photographers, and crafters. All materials included. All levels welcome.
