This hands-on activity is designed to introduce participants to the relationship between digital fabrication processes and traditional studio practice. During the workshop, participants create a sculpture from numbered laser cut parts that are formed using mountain and valley folds that are glued to generate the form. Participants do not need to be art majors or sculptors to participate. They only need to be able to fold paper and use CA glue to build the sculpture. Models can be designed around a wide variety of themes and integrated into curriculums or programming.
