This workshop offers a rare opportunity to learn and practice the intricate art of glassblowing. This six hour studio workshop will introduce the absolute beginner to the basics of working hot glass. During this one day session students will learn to gather glass from the furnace then use the blocks, marver and other tools first to make solid forms such as marbles and paperweights and then finish by blowing glass to make simple bowls and vases. No experience required. All workshop materials and supplies are included in the registration fee. Wearing cotton jeans, cotton long sleeve shirt and shoes is recommended.
