This four-week, four-unit course provides participants with the fundamental knowledge needed to create their own cartoon characters to be used for a variety of media, including comics, animated films and children0s books. Each unit focuses on a different aspect of character development or design with an end goal that participants have at least one fully realized creation. Two assignments are given in each unit, a mid-week sketch assignment and a finished one.
