The organic gardening curriculum will cover soil biology and management, plants, crop management, and composting. From site selection and design, to seeds and seed starting techniques, from pest and disease control, to managing and using compost, you'll have a rich and reliable foundation for growing a greener, more productive garden on your own. This is a two-part course. In Basic Organic Gardening, you'll get a broad overview of the fundamentals of organic gardening. It's a useful class for both experienced gardeners and beginners. Dates are: saturdays, 2/11, 2/25 and 3/3. Time is 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Coast is $125/person; $220/couple. In Advanced Organic Gardening, you'll go in-depth into principles of organic gardening. Dates are Saturdays, 3/10, 3/24, and 3/31. Times are 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Cost is $125/person and $220/couple.
