Fast pace and growing hospital seeking a career minded individual for the position of Network Administrator.
This is technical services work in an integrated computer network environment. The incumbent in this position performs a full range of system and network administration functions requiring a technical computer support background and will work closely with the IT Manager. Responsibilities include installing and configuring network devices such as computers and printers; diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and operating system problems; implementing and monitoring system security procedures. Work is performed under limited supervision.
As a representative of the Information Technology Department at Effingham Hospital, the incumbent will be responsible for:
A full range of system and network administration functions in order to control systems and attain maximum utilization and efficiency.
Provide full end-user support for application software in order to meet the end-user’s needs.
Attaches devices to the LAN; configures devices to use the LAN for applications, maintains LAN documentation.
Installs and configures internal hardware components such as memory, disk, and other hardware components in PC’s and/or servers.
Performs troubleshooting and fault isolation on PC’s, servers, LAN’s, or related system components in order to maintain system availability.
Performs installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of software applications.
Performs other duties as assigned by the IT Manager.
KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Knowledge of PC hardware and software troubleshooting.
Knowledge of local area networks based on PC’s and servers.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Operating systems.
Knowledge of complex software applications on PCs, servers, and networks
Knowledge of TCP/IP and Active Directory
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical computer problems
Ability to research and make recommendations to management on technical computer issues.
Ability to perform work requiring lifting and/or physical exertion is required.
Ability to follow through on specific instructions from IT management.
Ability to train personnel in all phases of computer utilization and application.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
An Associate Degree from an accredited educational institution in computer science or computer information systems or a directly related field plus three (3) years experience performing system administration functions in a LAN/WAN environment. MCSE, CCNA, A+ Certification a plus. Experience working in a Healthcare environment a plus but not required. Excellent customer service and networking skills required.
Limited travel involved between multiple sites. Must past a background check and drug test.
