Case-McCorvey’s veterinary continual education on the newest findings in human internal medicine has led the 99-year-old business to use the latest surgical methods and to invest in medical equipment, particularly for endoscopy and laparoscopic surgeries, enabling less invasive procedures with faster recovery time and fewer complications. The use of new technology helps in emergency situations such as finding foreign objects swallowed by pets.

Case Veterinary Hospital supports nonprofit and community service organizations by providing much-needed assistance to a number of organizations in Savannah, including the Pet Assistance League of Savannah Inc. PALS is an all-volunteer, charitable animal welfare organization that focuses on helping to keep the pet population down by assisting with the spaying and neutering of pets. For the past 21 years, the hospital has held its annual Pet Halloween Costume Contest to raise awareness and monetary support for PALS. This year’s contest will be held October 18.

Case-McCorvey is also a member of the Junior League and donates her time to the Oatland Island Project committee. She has served as president, secretary and treasurer of Greater Savannah Area Veterinary Medical Association. Case-McCorvey and her staff spend weeks teaching practical aspects of clinical medicine and surgery to senior year veterinary school students who need to meet practical training requirements before they graduate.
