What’s the purpose of TechFest?

  • foster intelligent growth through competition
  • get the local knowledge business community plugged into the colleges and universities
  • further stimulate enthusiasm in Savannah’s growing creative and tech community
  • give the high tech community a large dose of the latest and greatest ventures being explored by our local college students
  • provide an environment that is a little more laid back than an intense interview for students to introduce themselves and their know-how to potential employers
  • show students they don’t have to leave town to find the jobs they really want

Why should you participate?

  • students and faculty can explore the opportunities that are out there with local creative and technical businesses
  • gives students the unique opportunity to validate their talent using posters, videos, demos, or other media
  • this is a “one-stop-shop” for local creative and technical businesses to peg potential intern candidates and employees from many different educational institutions
  • platform for knowledge-based businesses to create awareness
  • support a dynamic relationship between the world of academia and the business world
