Job Summary: Under the direction of the program manager, the CAP Coordinator is responsible for recruitment of participants from the high poverty census tracts with special attention to low-income, underemployed, unemployed and high-risk populations.

Roles & Responsibilities:
– Maintains full and accurate records and reports on participants, training sessions, and distributes as directed
– Enters data/participant records into the database system, reviews, and analyzes reports
– Builds business relationships for participants as directed
– Provides follow-up tracking on all participants at regularly defined intervals
– Participates in program planning/assessment/progress meetings with CAP staff
– Builds and maintains relationships with Savannah Technical College, local community centers, and other community partners, etc., for CAP participants
– Provides administrative support as needed for a participant to successfully complete CAP, including special events as they occur
– Coordinates and oversees evening classes

– Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree
– Human Resources background or related field, supplemented by experience in working and proving record of placement with “high-risk adults”
– Must be able to work evening hours when CAP evening classes are in session
– Case management and coaching concept is a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
– Possess good communication skills
– Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
– Must be able to perform in stressful situations and exercise good judgment
– Must possess sufficient strength, stamina, ability, hearing and vision to perform all duties without assistance
– Must be able to enter the local detention for recruitment

– Full-time exempt position
– Eligible for benefits and paid time off
– Salary range: $30,000 to $40,000
