The Digital Content Strategist will lead USCB in developing digital communications that meet prospective student, parent, university, community stakeholders and university operations needs effectively. The Digital Content Strategist leads Web projects and collaborations with team members including the Marketing Communications office, faculty and staff across the university and contract professionals. Identifies project goals and communicates deadlines of deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Bachelor’s degree and 6 years experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material.
Preferred experience with Google Analytics.
Demonstrated understanding of content strategy and web site design and production processes. Experience writing using html semantically to ensure accessibility, clarity and Search Engine Optimization.
Experience administering or using web content management systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Specifically writing for the web that is optimized for high quality user experience, clearly perceived calls to action and intuitive navigation. Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to work effectively with groups and organizations both internal and external to the University. Strong team building, mediation and coaching skills.
Detail-oriented and willing to learn new skills and concepts. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Discretion and good judgment working with confidential/sensitive information. Experience leading information technology or other complex projects.
